Los Angeles Times Festival of Books

This past weekend I dragged my boyfriend to the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books. I've gone to this festival for the past couple year, honestly more years that I can count, and each year get's more and more intense and fulfilling. I was pretty worried going into this festival because this was the most unprepared I'd ever been. I wasn't able to get the Sunday paper which always contains the festival insert, so I was nervous to say the least. Luckily, we were able to get the paper at the festival and combined with information gathered on the first day from different booths around the festival, our experience turned into fun panels, meeting and getting books signed by authors, and snagging ARCs. I have to give a special shout out to my boyfriend for sticking it out in the hot sun to grab me my Warcross ARC, holding my place in line for book signings, carrying pretty much all my swag, signing up for unwanted newsletters to get free totes, and for putting up with my book fanaticism.

Pros: Meeting The Hate U Give author Angie Thomas without having to stand in a crazy line. Snagging an ARC of Warcross. Getting every book I brought signed. Getting a signed prop bloody hand from Chuck Palahnuik.
Cons: The Heat!
