Review:
I'm not quite sure how to
feel about this book. To be honest, it wasn't my favorite thing I've read by
him. I felt like a lot of the story kind of flew over my head. I don't know if
I had the movie in mind or what, but some things that happened were a little
hard to wrap my head around. Oddly enough I feel committed now and want to read
the rest of the series as if heard the books get better. Now I can't do a
review of the book without mentioning the movie. I'm usually the type of person
who likes to read the book before I see the film, but in this case I'm actually
really happy I didn't read the before I watched the movie. I know I would've
been sorely disappointed as the movie felt like a completely different thing.
It's like they took the 3 characters and made up their own story about them.
Granted, I actually liked the movie. With that being said, I can now read the
series for what it is and appreciate the two mediums as two separate entities.
